The effort to pass physician assisted suicide in New Jersey is reaching a critical point with a vote in the NJ Senate expected Monday (subject to change). Our senators need to hear from all those who oppose this bill, recognizing that helping one end their lives is not death with dignity.
Terminally ill patients and disability advocates took a stand Oct. 20, 2016, against the “Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill Act” – legislation in Trenton, N.J., that would allow those with terminal illnesses to legally end their own lives. Hoping to sway their lawmakers, these advocates, as well as physicians, spoke passionately for the right to live during an Advocacy Day news conference in the state capital.
